Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating a Blockcade account, downloading the mobile app, or embedding the Blockcade payment gateway on a site, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the service.
2. The service
- Wallet — a self-custody mobile app. Your keys stay on your device. Blockcade cannot access, freeze, or recover them.
- Exchange — swap, market data, price alerts, DCA. Routing is via third-party liquidity (LiFi, Changelly). Rates are indicative until you sign.
- Payment gateway — accept crypto payments as a merchant. Blockcade forwards the payment settled in your chosen currency to your address / bank once confirmed on-chain.
3. Self-custody responsibility
You are solely responsible for keeping your recovery phrase and PIN safe. Blockcade CANNOT reset your wallet, recover lost seeds, or reverse transactions. If you lose the phrase you lose access to your funds. Permanently.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction. Blockcade is not available where its use would be illegal.
5. Fees
Wallet is free to use. Swaps carry an aggregator fee (0.3% by default). On-ramp / off-ramp fees are set by the provider (Alchemy Pay, Onramper, Yellow Card). The Payment Gateway charges 1.5% + $0.30 per settled transaction (Standard tier), scaling to 0.7% + $0.10 (Enterprise).
6. Prohibited use
- Money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions evasion.
- Any activity that violates OFAC, EU, UK, Nigerian or local law where you operate.
- Attempts to abuse the API — automated scraping, DoS, exploiting bugs.
Blockcade may screen transactions against sanction lists and freeze payouts to sanctioned addresses.
7. Risk disclosure
Crypto assets are volatile and can lose value rapidly. Smart contracts may be exploited. Bridges may fail. Blockchains are irreversible. You accept these risks when using the service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blockcade’s liability is limited to fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Blockcade is not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages.
9. Termination
You may close your merchant account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Ogun State.
11. Changes
We post material changes on this page and notify active merchants at least 30 days before they take effect.
